Responsibilities:
- Dynamic Lessons: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Drama lessons that ignite creativity and foster self-expression among students.
- Diverse Teaching Approaches: Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Student Evaluation: Assess student progress through practical and written evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their artistic and academic growth.
- Inclusive Environment: Create a classroom atmosphere where all students feel confident to participate and explore their talents.
- Collaborative Projects: Work with colleagues to organise school productions, drama clubs, and other extracurricular activities that enhance the performing arts curriculum.
- Ongoing Development: Stay informed about the latest developments in drama education and incorporate innovative ideas into your teaching practice.
About You:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience: Experience teaching Drama at the secondary level, with a genuine passion for the performing arts.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements for Drama.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment: A dedication to promoting creativity, confidence, and teamwork among students.
- Safeguarding: Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Adaptability: Flexibility and a collaborative approach to working within a school environment.
- ECTs Welcome: Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
