Responsibilities:
- Engaging Lessons: Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring Drama lessons that ignite students’ creativity and encourage self-expression.
- Diverse Teaching Methods: Utilise a variety of teaching techniques and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
- Assessment: Assess student progress through practical and written evaluations, providing feedback that supports their artistic and academic growth.
- Supportive Environment: Create a classroom atmosphere where all students feel confident to participate and explore their talents.
- Collaboration: Work with colleagues to organise school productions, drama clubs, and other extracurricular activities that enhance the performing arts curriculum.
- Continuous Development: Stay informed about developments in drama education and incorporate new ideas and approaches into your teaching practice.
About You:
- Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience: Experience teaching Drama at the secondary level, with a genuine passion for the performing arts.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements for Drama.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment: A commitment to promoting creativity, confidence, and teamwork among students.
- Safeguarding: Dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Flexibility: Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working within a school environment.
- ECTs Welcome: Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
