We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join one of our friendly and supportive partner primary schools in Keighley. This role involves working closely with teachers to support the learning and development of young children in an engaging, safe, and nurturing environment. If you have a passion for helping children thrive in their early years of education, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities
  • Assisting with phonics, reading, and numeracy interventions to support individual and small group learning
  • Helping to create and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment, including preparing classroom resources
  • Supporting children’s social and emotional development, ensuring every child feels valued and included
  • Supervising children during break times and assisting with their personal care where necessary
  • Providing additional support to children with special educational needs (SEN), working closely with SEN specialists where required
  • Engaging with parents and caregivers to provide feedback on children’s progress and well-being

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, patient approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team of teachers and staff
  • A genuine interest in child development and supporting young learners
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or a Teaching Assistant qualification are preferred but not required
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to child welfare
