Job Description: Justteachers is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Geography Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Oldham, Greater Manchester. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking Geography lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, fostering a love of learning about the world and its environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Geography lessons that meet the requirements of the national curriculum.
• Inspire students through dynamic and interactive teaching methods, bringing geographical concepts and case studies to life.
• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and varying levels of ability.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to support their academic development.
• Prepare students for GCSE Geography exams, ensuring they develop critical thinking, analytical, and research skills.
• Contribute to the development and enrichment of the Geography curriculum, collaborating with colleagues to create a cohesive learning experience.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
• Participate in school events, parent evenings, and professional development opportunities to continually enhance your teaching practice.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in Geography or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Geography at the secondary school level (KS3 and KS4).
• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment frameworks for Geography.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
• Strong classroom management skills, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• A passion for Geography and a commitment to developing students’ understanding of the world’s physical and human processes.
• Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities and field trips related to Geography.
