Justteachers is seeking a KS3 & KS4 Design and Technology Teacher to join our network of outstanding schools in Halifax. If you’re an enthusiastic teacher with a passion for creative and practical subjects, we want to hear from you!

Position Details:

Subject: Design and Technology (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Halifax
Contract Type: Temporary (with the potential for a permanent role)
Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible
Salary: £165 – £255 per day

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and innovative Design and Technology lessons to students in KS3 and KS4.
Plan and create lessons that encourage creativity and problem-solving, incorporating a range of materials and technologies.
Inspire students to develop practical skills and a deeper understanding of design principles.
Assess and track student progress, providing support and feedback to promote development.
Ensure a safe, supportive, and well-managed classroom environment, promoting health and safety in all practical lessons.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Design and Technology to KS3 and KS4 students.
Strong understanding of the Design and Technology curriculum, including knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques.
Excellent classroom management skills and a passion for hands-on learning.
Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of all students.
