Job Description: Justteachers is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a thriving secondary school in Bury, Greater Manchester. This is a full-time role, perfect for someone who is passionate about supporting students at KS3 and KS4 and making a positive impact on their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and accessible lessons, supporting students in their learning and development.
• Provide tailored support to individual students or small groups, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN) or those who may require additional help.
• Assist with the planning and preparation of learning resources that meet the needs of all learners, ensuring they are inclusive and effective.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing valuable feedback to teachers and contributing to personalized learning plans.
• Create a supportive and positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
• Help with classroom management and organization, maintaining a safe and structured environment for learning.
• Support students’ social and emotional development, ensuring they feel valued and motivated.
• Collaborate with teachers, the SENCO, and other staff to deliver targeted interventions and support for students with diverse needs.
• Take part in school-wide activities, including extracurricular events, staff meetings, and professional development.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school, with a focus on KS3 and KS4.
• Knowledge of effective strategies to support students with SEN, including experience working with students with a range of abilities and learning challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to working with young people, particularly those who may need additional emotional and academic support.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively in a dynamic school environment.
