£150 - £250 PER DAY DEPENDENT UPON EXPERIENCE

Justteachers is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join a reputable secondary school in Ormskirk. This is a full-time position, starting after October half term. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about their subject and committed to ensuring students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire and motivate students through innovative teaching strategies.
  • Assess, record, and report on students’ progress and attainment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop resources and contribute to the wider school community.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
  • Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs.
