Job Role:

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be teaching the full science curriculum, with a focus on building students’ enthusiasm for the subject and helping them achieve their full potential in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Science lessons.
• Assess and track student progress, providing timely feedback.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations, focusing on raising attainment.
• Collaborate with the Science department to share resources and strategies.
• Create a positive learning environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
• Engage with parents and careers, providing updates on student progress.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
• A passion for Science and for developing students’ understanding of the subject.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• A DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
