Job Role:

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will teach the full science curriculum, focusing on fostering students’ interest in the subject and helping them excel in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative and differentiated Science lessons.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for GCSE exams, with a focus on raising attainment.
• Collaborate with the Science department to share resources and best practices.
• Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them updated on student progress.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to differentiate lessons for all learners.
• Passion for Science and inspiring students’ love for the subject.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• A DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
