Cover Supervisor King’s Lynn

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a dynamic and supportive school in Kings Lynn. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about working with secondary school students and are looking for experience in a classroom setting. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of lessons during teacher absences, helping to maintain an engaging and productive learning environment.

This full-time position requires an immediate start and will continue until February 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task with work that has been set.
• Manage classroom behavior in line with school policies.
• Support students in their learning, ensuring that lesson objectives are met.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student progress, where necessary.
• Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.

Key Requirements:

• Have experience working with secondary school students (KS3 and KS4).
• Possess a calm and authoritative presence, with the ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, or other relevant role in a school setting
• Flexibility and adaptability to cover a wide variety of subjects and year groups.
