We are currently seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will provide classroom cover for absent teachers, ensuring that students remain focused and engaged with pre-set work. This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain valuable experience in education, particularly if you are considering a career in teaching.

• Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students complete the work set by the teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
• Support students where necessary with their learning and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Ensure the health and safety of students during lessons.
• Liaise with teaching staff to ensure the smooth running of the school day.
• Assist with other duties as required, such as exam invigilation or extracurricular activities.
• Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behaviour and engage students.
• Confidence to work independently and under direction.
• Adaptability and a proactive approach to supporting the school.
• A degree or relevant qualification is desirable, but not essential.
