Job Role:

As a Cover Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity in students’ learning by stepping in to teach various subjects across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This is a great opportunity for a versatile teacher who enjoys a diverse and dynamic teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects.
• Ensure a smooth and positive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
• Support students’ academic progress, providing assistance where needed.
• Adapt quickly to different classroom settings and subject areas.
• Collaborate with staff and follow the school’s policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Adaptability and the ability to teach a range of subjects.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
