Job Role:

As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will inspire students to explore the world around them, developing their understanding of both physical and human Geography.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Track and assess student progress, providing feedback and support to promote academic achievement.
• Prepare students for their GCSE exams, focusing on building strong geographical knowledge and skills.
• Inspire critical thinking and foster a love for learning through dynamic and interactive lessons.
• Work collaboratively with the Humanities department to enhance teaching and learning.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages active learning and participation.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Geography at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• A strong passion for Geography and a commitment to inspiring young learners.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
