KS3/KS4 Teaching Assistant Required

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking for a new role supporting students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4! justteachers, a trusted educational recruitment agency, is working with secondary schools across Greater Manchester and is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a dynamic school environment in Bury.

Job Role:

As a KS3/KS4 Teaching Assistant, you will support students both in and outside the classroom, helping them to engage with the curriculum and achieve their full potential. You will assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons, working with small groups or on a one-to-one basis, and providing essential support to students with varying needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and resource creation.
• Work with individual students or small groups to help them access the curriculum.
• Provide targeted support to students with special educational needs or those who require additional assistance.
• Help manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive learning environment.
• Monitor student progress, providing feedback to teachers on their development.
• Support students during exams and assessments where necessary.

Requirements:

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within a secondary school setting.
• UK Teaching Assistant Qualification
• Familiarity with the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, adaptability, and a passion for supporting young people’s learning.
• A DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
