English Teacher – Skipton

Justteachers is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to teach up to Key Stage 4 (KS4) students within a partner secondary school in the Skipton area. The ideal candidate will have relevant GCSE teaching experience and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic potential. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant team on a supply basis and make a real impact on students’ learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach English to students up to KS4, delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Prepare students for their GCSE exams with focused teaching and targeted support
• Plan, prepare, and assess student progress in line with the national curriculum
• Maintain high standards of classroom management and student discipline.
• Support the academic, emotional, and social development of students
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the department

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching English at the secondary level, with relevant GCSE teaching experience
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
