Teaching Assistant Peterborough

Justteachers are currently recruiting for committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in a primary school in Peterborough.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced TA or someone new to the role to work closely with teachers and support pupils in their learning journey. You will be helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment, assisting with classroom activities, and providing targeted support to individual students or small groups.

Whether you have experience in a similar role or are looking to start your career in education, this role offers great potential to develop your skills and make a meaningful impact on children’s learning.

School are looking for someone to start ASAP and there are several roles available ranging from full to part time – with all roles likely to continue on to the end of that academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils
• Work one-on-one or with small groups to deliver tailored support, including SEN pupils
• Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging lessons and activities
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
• Support students in managing their behaviour and engagement with learning
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Assist with any administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (preferred but not essential)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for working with children and helping them succeed
• The ability to work well as part of a team and independently
• A flexible and positive attitude
• A DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
