Role Overview:
The Primary Maths Intervention Teacher will work across Key Stages 1 and 2, delivering focused and effective maths interventions to small groups and individual students. The role aims to bridge gaps in mathematical understanding, helping students to build confidence and improve their attainment levels. This is a rewarding role for a teacher passionate about making a difference in students’ learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, tailored maths intervention sessions to small groups and individual students.
- Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to both students and teachers.
- Use creative and engaging methods to support learning, building students’ confidence in maths.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students’ needs and coordinate intervention schedules.
- Provide regular reports on student progress and suggest strategies for continuous improvement.
- Foster a supportive and positive learning environment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience in teaching primary maths.
- Experience in delivering maths interventions or working with small groups in a primary setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the primary maths curriculum and ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting student achievement.
- A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo a new one.
