Maths SATs Intervention Specialist – Ilkley

Justteachers is currently seeking a part-time SATs Maths Intervention Specialist on supply at a small primary school in the Ilkley area. This flexible role offers the chance to make a significant impact by providing focused, high-quality Maths support for pupils preparing for their SATs.

Role Overview: As a SATs Maths Intervention Specialist, you will work with small groups and individual pupils, targeting key areas to strengthen their mathematical understanding and confidence. Your expertise and dedication will help bridge learning gaps and build pupil confidence ahead of their SATs assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored Maths intervention sessions for KS2 pupils preparing for SATs
• Identify individual learning needs and develop targeted strategies to address them
• Create an engaging and supportive learning environment to foster growth
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting sessions to optimize learning
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to ensure intervention aligns with class objectives
• Track and document progress to demonstrate the impact of your interventions

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with strong Maths expertise
• Experience in supporting KS2 pupils in Maths, ideally with SATs preparation
• Deep understanding of the KS2 Maths curriculum and SATs requirements
• Excellent rapport-building skills to encourage pupil engagement
• Flexibility and organizational skills for adapting to different school settings
