Mental Health Teaching Assistant Gainsborough

Justteachers has an amazing and exciting new opportunity to join a specialist institution as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant. This role has been created new within the provision to work with a handful of students that are displaying severe social and emotional, mental health behaviours (SEMH).This specialist provision caters to pupils of all ages (8-18 years old) and are committed to provide all pupils attending with a nurturing and bespoke curriculum. In this role you will be given a handful of students to work 1:1 with alongside the classroom teacher, Educational Psychologists and the SENDCO.

The school are urging all candidates to apply with experience working as a Care Worker, Social Worker, Support Worker, Foster carer, Nurse, Teaching Assistant and Support Assistants. To be successful for this role we are looking for candidates that are calm , compassionate and not fazed by challenging behaviour and confrontation.

The school are searching for multiple applicants in order to create a small mental health team that can provide support in therapy sessions.

• Class sizes are small with a maximum of 4 pupils per class. The curriculum that is delivered within this provision is tailored and individualised to the pupils attending. The bespoke curriculum within this school means they offer opportunities and lessons to support the children
