We are working with  a dedicated special needs school located in Spalding, Lincolnshire, committed to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for students with diverse learning needs. Role Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in September 2024. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and proactive, with a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Support students in developing social skills and positive behavior.
  • Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with classroom activities and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in education or child development (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare of children.
