Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse needs and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with varying needs.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Support students in developing social skills and emotional well-being.
  • Prepare and organize classroom materials and resources.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to the assessment and reporting of student progress.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in an alternative provision or SEN (Special Educational Needs) environment.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training).
  • First Aid certification.
