We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join one of our partner schools in Dewsbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified educator looking to make an impact on students’ learning experiences. The role is initially offered on a supply basis, with the possibility of becoming a permanent position depending on performance and school needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Engaging Science Lessons: Teach Science to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering curiosity and a passion for learning.
  • Plan and Differentiate Lessons: Create well-structured, engaging, and differentiated lesson plans that cater to a diverse range of student abilities and learning styles.
  • Support Student Development: Help students develop both academically and personally, ensuring they make consistent progress in their understanding of scientific principles and concepts.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with the Science department and other staff members to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and Assess Student Progress: Regularly assess student work, monitor progress, and provide timely feedback to ensure they are achieving their potential.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching Science to KS3 and KS4 students, with strong subject knowledge.
  • A genuine passion for Science and the ability to inspire young minds.
  • Strong classroom management skills with a commitment to maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Commitment to Safeguarding: A dedication to promoting the welfare and safety of children, adhering to safeguarding policies at all times.
