justteachers, a specialist teaching agency, is seeking a dedicated and resilient 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 at a primary school in Boston, Lincolnshire. This part-time role involves working closely with a student who has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP). The position is set to begin as soon as possible and is expected to continue until Easter 2025.

 

Role Highlights

  • Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant for Year 2 Student
  • Schedule: 5 mornings per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45 am – 1:00 pm
  • Duration: Start ASAP, expected to continue until Easter 2025
  • Responsibilities: Working closely with a child with ASD, supporting their learning, behaviour management, and progress according to their EHCP.

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: Prior experience working with children with ASD and challenging behaviours is essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication, patience, and resilience are critical. The ideal candidate should be skilled in behaviour management and capable of fostering a positive, structured environment.
  • Qualities: A caring and proactive approach with the flexibility to adapt to the student’s needs.
