About the Role:
Justteachers is seeking a qualified and motivated Psychology Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Leicestershire on a temporary, maternity cover basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for psychology and a strong commitment to fostering academic excellence and curiosity in students from Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging lessons in a supportive school environment and to contribute to the social and emotional development of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach psychology across KS4 and KS5, aligning lessons with the national curriculum and school guidelines
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging, and inspiring lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on student progress to drive improvements
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support a positive learning environment and contribute to departmental initiatives
  • Participate in school events, parents’ evenings, and other relevant activities

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Degree in Psychology or a related field
  • Proven experience teaching psychology at the secondary level (preferably KS5)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
