Justteachers Supply Agency are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic English Teacher to join a forward-thinking school on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis starting in January 2025. We are looking for a candidate who can bring passion to their teaching, assume full classroom responsibilities, and effectively manage classroom behavior to foster a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons tailored to students’ needs and abilities
– Develop a stimulating classroom environment that promotes student participation, enthusiasm, and respect for learning
– Utilize strong classroom management strategies to create and maintain a safe, respectful, and focused learning space
– Monitor and assess student progress through various assessment methods, offering feedback and intervention as needed
– Contribute to curriculum development and departmental activities, collaborating with colleagues to enhance the learning experience
– Uphold school policies, including behavior management, safeguarding, and health and safety protocols
Candidate Requirements:
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification in English
– Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level with a track record of effective classroom management
– Comprehensive knowledge of the English curriculum and a passion for fostering literacy, creativity, and critical thinking
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities
– Flexibility and commitment to adapting to a temp-to-perm role within the school
– An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one) is mandatory
