About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and committed KS3 & KS4 Business Studies Teacher to join a secondary school in Halifax, starting in January 2025. This full-time, permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to inspire students by delivering engaging, high-quality lessons. The role involves teaching Business Studies to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, helping them prepare for exams and develop an interest in the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess Business Studies lessons aligned with the school curriculum and educational standards.
• Create engaging lesson plans and activities to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback to support academic growth.
• Prepare students for GCSE exams, emphasizing core concepts and exam techniques.
• Maintain a positive, supportive classroom environment to encourage participation and enthusiasm for Business Studies.
• Collaborate with colleagues, contributing to departmental initiatives and school events.
• Engage with parents and guardians as needed regarding student progress and behavior.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Business Studies or a related field.
• Experience teaching Business Studies at KS3 and KS4 levels.
• Strong classroom management skills, with an ability to engage students effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A commitment to professional development.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with the UK GCSE Business Studies curriculum.
• Strong understanding of exam board requirements and assessment standards.
