About the Role:
Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and adaptable General Cover Teacher to join a secondary school in Halifax. Starting in January 2025, this role is ideal for an enthusiastic and flexible teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons across various subjects and year groups, ensuring continuity of learning during teacher absences. As a supply teacher, you’ll be instructing students in Years 7-11 across a range of subjects. We are looking for a skilled classroom practitioner with strong behavior management abilities to maintain a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups in the absence of subject-specific teachers.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a supportive and constructive learning environment.
• Adapt teaching approaches to engage students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
• Maintain professionalism and flexibility, adapting quickly to the needs of different classes.

Requirements:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Minimum of two references from the last two years, ideally from education, healthcare, or youth and public service sectors (college/university placements also considered).
• Proven ability to lead and cover lessons outside of subject specialisms.
• Strong classroom and behavior management skills.
• Professional, adaptable attitude suitable for diverse educational settings.
