Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and insightful History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5
• Inspire students by bringing historical events and themes to life, promoting curiosity and critical thinking
• Assess, monitor, and support student progress, providing constructive feedback to foster improvement and understanding
• Create a positive classroom environment that encourages inclusivity, respect, and active participation
• Work collaboratively with fellow staff members to contribute to the school’s supportive community and shared goals

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching History at the secondary level including GCSE (preferably through AQA)
• Enthusiasm for History and the ability to inspire and motivate students
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Flexibility to work on a supply basis and adapt to different classroom environments
