About the Role
Justteachers are seeking a Teaching Assistant for one of their partner schools in Wigan. They are looking for someone who is committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support their students’ learning journey. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education, enjoys working with children, and wants to make a positive impact in a school community. The Teaching Assistant will work closely with the classroom teacher, assisting with lesson preparation, providing one-on-one support for students, and helping to create a nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who need additional support.
  • Help maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Provide support to students with special educational needs and adapt learning materials as required.
  • Monitor student progress and report to the teacher.
  • Assist with general classroom organisation and preparation of materials.

About You

  • Experience in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patient, compassionate, and adaptable to meet students’ needs.
  • A proactive approach and a willingness to learn.
