Justteachers Teaching Agency is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Design Technology (DT) Teacher to join one of our partner schools in Halifax on a long-term supply basis starting in January 2025. This role is ideal for a teacher passionate about engaging students in creative, hands-on learning while fostering a love for design, innovation, and technical development. Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, practical Design Technology lessons to students of varying abilities
• Inspire students to develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of the design process
• Ensure a safe and well-organized learning environment, adhering to health and safety standards for practical activities
• Regularly assess, track, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the Design Technology curriculum and extracurricular activities

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Design Technology
• Strong subject knowledge in areas such as woodworking, textiles, or graphics
• Ability to engage and motivate students through creative and practical teaching methods
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Passionate about fostering creativity and technical skills in students
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
