Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of innovators and creators? Justteachers is seeking an experienced and dedicated Design Technology Teacher with specialisms in DT Food and DT Product Design to join a thriving and high-achieving high school in York.

The Role:

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons in Food Technology and Product Design to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential in both practical and theoretical aspects of DT.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic and supportive team of staff to deliver an enriching curriculum.
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.

Requirements:

We’re looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
  • Has proven experience teaching DT Food Technology and Product Design at secondary level.
  • Is passionate about Design Technology, with a commitment to fostering creativity and innovation.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Is adaptable, enthusiastic, and ready to contribute to the school’s ethos of success and inclusion.
