About the Role

As a Humanities Teacher, you’ll deliver captivating lessons that bring history, geography, and cultural studies to life, helping students to better understand the world and their place in it. We are looking for someone who can spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and instill a respect for diverse perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Humanities across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the opportunity to specialise in one or more areas (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Studies)
• Plan and deliver lessons that engage students with the complexities and wonders of the past, geography, and global cultures
• Assess, monitor, and support student progress, ensuring all students reach their full potential
• Create an inclusive, respectful classroom environment where all students feel valued
• Collaborate with the Humanities department to develop innovative curriculum ideas and resources
• Inspire students to think critically, develop research skills, and respect diverse viewpoints

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Specialism or significant experience in teaching Humanities subjects such as History, Geography, or Religious Studies
• Strong classroom management skills with an ability to adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
• Passionate about fostering an inclusive, encouraging, and thought-provoking learning environment
• Commitment to professional development and collaborative teaching practices
