About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Food Technology Teacher who is enthusiastic about cultivating students’ practical skills, creativity, and understanding of food preparation and nutrition. You will be instrumental in delivering engaging lessons that combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology, adhering to the national curriculum.
• Inspire students to develop a passion for cooking, food science, and healthy eating.
• Plan and deliver lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning needs and abilities.
• Ensure a safe and well-organized classroom environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines in practical lessons.
• Work collaboratively with the Design and Technology department to share best practices and develop innovative teaching strategies.

About You:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4; KS5 is a bonus).
• A passion for inspiring creativity and practical skills in students.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.
• A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective teaching.
