Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality mathematics lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Develop engaging and innovative teaching strategies to inspire students and enhance their mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
• Monitor and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective schemes of work and share best practices.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and whole-school activities.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary school level.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to engage in further training and professional learning.

Desirable:

• Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics.
• Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and recent educational developments.
• Ability to integrate technology effectively into teaching practices.
