£85 - £100 PER DAY DEPENDENT UPON EXPERIENCE

This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist institution as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant. This new role has been created within the provision to work with a handful of students with severe social and emotional, mental health (SEMH) needs. This specialist provision caters to pupils of all ages (5-18 years old), providing all pupils who attend with a nurturing and bespoke curriculum. In this role you will work with a small number of students alongside the classroom teacher, Educational Psychologists and the SENDCO.

The school are encouraging applications from candidates with experience working as any of the following; Teaching Assistant, Support Assistant, LSA, Care Worker, Social Worker, Youth Worker, Support Worker, Foster Carer, Nursing and Care. To be successful for this role we are looking for candidates that are calm, compassionate and not fazed by challenging behaviour and confrontation.

The school are searching for multiple applicants in order to create a small mental health team that can provide support across the school.

  • Class sizes are small with a maximum of 12 pupils per class. The curriculum that is delivered within this provision is tailored and individualised to the pupils attending. The bespoke curriculum within this school means they offer opportunities and lessons to support the children.
