Mathematics Teacher Peterborough

One of our partner secondary schools are looking to appoint a Maths Teacher who would like to join an experienced, supportive, committed faculty and make a real difference to young people. The ideal candidate will be a forward thinking, dynamic teacher, with experience of teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 to 5.

The team are reflective in their practice and there is a strong culture of nurture and support for new colleagues. The embedded use of ICT within the curriculum, especially the use of Interactive Whiteboards, has helped students in their learning. The team are always looking to develop their pedagogy, especially in how challenging concepts are modelled and explained and how learners understanding is checked and reviewed.

The position is to start Easter 2024 and is a permanent teaching role with full teaching responsibilities.

You will have:

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Right to work in the UK
• Two education/school-based references
• Ability to teach KS3 – 5 and have a thorough up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum and age-related expectations
• Have a positive outlook and look to instil this in your teaching to raise pupil’s aspiration

• A strong commitment to raising standards

• Have high expectations for teaching, learning and behaviour

Salary will be in line with the National Teachers Pay Scale, Teachers M1 to UPS welcome to apply – this role complies with AWR (2010) regulations protecting agency workers’ rights.
