Science (Chemistry) Teacher Skipton

Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and experienced Science Teacher (Chemistry Specialist) to join a successful partner secondary school in the Skipton area. This full-time position is to cover a maternity leave and involves teaching Science across key stages, with a focus on Chemistry up to A-Level. Shortlisting is underway, with interviews taking place soon, and the role will commence in January.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Chemistry up to A-Level and general Science to KS3 and KS4 students
• Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring lessons that engage and challenge learners
• Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development
• Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity and achievement
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the success of the Science department

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Proven experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level, including A-Level
• Strong subject knowledge across all Science disciplines at KS3 and KS4
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• A passion for Science education and a commitment to student success
