Justteachers is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 2 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Nelson. This full-time position is to cover a maternity leave, offering an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on young learners during a critical stage in their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum for Year 2 students.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, support staff, and parents to ensure the holistic development of each student.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and contribute to school reports and parent-teacher meetings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably with Key Stage 1 pupils.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
  • Ability to adapt and respond effectively to the needs of individual learners.
