Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant

Justteachers Recruitment Agency is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work in an Early Years SEN class at a specialized SEN school in Stratford-upon-Avon. This role offers flexible full-time or part-time hours, with the potential for a temp-to-perm transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated support to young children with special educational needs in an Early Years classroom setting.
• Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored learning activities.
• Work closely with the class teacher and other professionals to create a nurturing, inclusive environment.
• Offer one-to-one or small group support, focusing on each child’s developmental and educational needs.
• Help manage classroom behavior, encouraging positive social interactions and emotional development.
• Assist with daily routines, including personal care if required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in an Early Years setting, is highly desirable.
• Relevant qualifications in childcare, SEN, or education are advantageous.
• A strong understanding of Early Years development and SEN strategies.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young learners with additional needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
