SEN Teaching Assistant

Justteachers Recruitment Agency is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, temp-to-perm position at a specialized SEN school in Solihull. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment, providing essential support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them achieve their full potential.
• Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education plans (IEPs) and classroom activities.
• Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Offer one-on-one or small group support, focusing on students’ specific needs.
• Support students in managing their behavior and social interactions in a constructive manner.
• Assist with daily routines, including personal care when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Understanding of various special educational needs and strategies to support them.
• Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN are advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to a positive school culture.
