Job Description

As a History Teacher, you will inspire and educate students up to Key Stage 4 (KS4). Your passion for history and innovative teaching methods will engage students, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of the subject. You will join a dynamic and supportive team, contributing to a positive learning atmosphere and helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality history lessons to students up to KS4.
Develop engaging and varied teaching resources to support student learning.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
Collaborate with colleagues to support the school’s aims and objectives.
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
A degree in History or a related subject.
Experience teaching History up to KS4.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for history.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and inspire students.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
