Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join with our partner primary schools in Wakefield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (NQT) to inspire and engage young learners in a supportive and forward-thinking educational environment. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and fostering a love of learning in Key Stage 1 students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils in KS1.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports students’ social and emotional development.
• Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of pupils.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of pupils.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management in accordance with school policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Experience teaching in KS1 is preferred, but NQTs are welcome to apply.
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
• Passionate about teaching and committed to continuous professional development.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
