Fully-Funded De-Escalation Workshops

We are taking applications for upcoming 2025 justteachers De-escalation Workshops which will be taking place in various locations throughout the UK. A calendar of events will be published soon.

For teaching and support staff who are keen to create an inclusive, respectful and caring environment in the classroom, then this CPD workshop, well-respected by our clients, could be perfect for you.

In today’s educational landscape, schools are placing an increasing emphasis on the importance of teachers and support staff possessing a well-rounded skillset, with a particular focus on de-escalation strategies. As a result of this, our current registered teachers and support staff who possess strong de-escalation skills are finding themselves in high demand within the education sector, and as such are being offered fantastic opportunities for secure work.

Our aim is to provide our newly registered candidates with access to a wide range of resources and professional development opportunities, including free training workshops, in order to enable our staff to be presented with as many opportunities as their availability allows!

Our free de-escalation workshops will be taking place at various locations central for our justteachers registered educators, at various dates throughout the academic year. **NEW DATES COMING SOON**.

De-escalation in education involves techniques to calmly manage and reduce disruptive behaviours in their earliest stages, before they get out of hand. These usually involve identifying a risk and intervening as quickly as possible in a calm and controlled manner.

In this workshop, we will delve into pragmatic and efficient de-escalation methods, that can be applied to assist the young individuals under the care of teaching and support staff. Topics will be explored through discussion, videos and interactive activities and will include:

  • What is defusing and escalating in the context of a school environment?
  • What are behaviours that challenge?
  • Behaviour is a form of communication
  • Strategies for defusing and de-escalating behaviours

Please note, that in order to be successfully allocated a place on a programme, you will need to have achieved Maths and English GCSE at grade C/4/5 or above or equivalent, a minimum of 2 references dated within 2 years, and completion of an enhanced DBS check
