‘Flexible working’ gathers more and more publicity through influential voices
Published: Friday June 14 2019 by Melanie Crewe
justteachers will always be supporters of Flexible Working initiatives, particularly in Education (demonstrated the launch of our Flexi scheme, introduced back in 2018) and we are continually encouraged by the influx of powerful voices driving forward the message of the importance of work/life balance.
We recently saw a fantastic video online, posted by Anna Whitehouse, founder of Mother Pukka which drew our attention to Flex Appeal and wanted to share it with you in case you haven't already seen it- thousands already have! View it here
The awareness of Flexible Working Policies in Education however still needs to be raised, and we fully support and recognise the driving factors behind the 2019 DfE Recruitment and Retention strategy, in order to ensure teachers are given the vital support in their early career and throughout - notably the emphasis on job sharing and flexible working conditions.
Flexible working can offer financial relief and security to those that not just have to work, but want to work.
