know about living and teaching in the UK. But Justteachers
have tried to cover it all!
The UK is a very popular destination for Teaching jobs for many reasons, including:
- It has the 4th largest economy in the world
- It has been a stable democracy for hundreds of years
- It is tolerant and allows freedom of worship for all religions
- Its language, English, is easy to learn at a basic level
- The standard of living in the UK is generally good and it has a welfare system
- It is not a police state, nor ruled by the military or a dictator
- Anybody in Britain who is a legal and law-abiding resident can live and work in freedom
- The mixed and vibrant economy allows many enterprises and hard work to succeed
- Human rights and anti-discrimination laws are enforced to protect individuals
- Britain has an exceptionally rich culture because of its rich history
